AI is becoming an important part of the industry; we should use it as a tool, not misuse it: Ankit Gupta Featured Funtainment by Akanksha - July 8, 20260 Young music composer Ankit Gupta, who made his Bollywood debut with Welcome To The Jungle, believes social media has shortened people’s attention span. As a result, he feels musicians strive to create music that is catchy and attention-grabbing.He said, “Social media has changed the music industry a lot. Earlier, people listened to songs that were five or six minutes long and remembered every word and tune. Today, people decide within just two to three seconds whether they want to listen to a song or not. That is why musicians have to make songs interesting from the very beginning.”He also mentioned that AI is also becoming an important part of the industry. However, he added, “We should accept it and use it as a tool, not misuse it. We also need to keep updating ourselves with new technology.”Ankit believes music videos are gaining popularity because artists want to showcase more of themselves. He said, “I think many people now want to become complete entertainers. I have worked with people who wanted to become actors, and they started with music videos to show their talent. People enjoy watching this kind of content, so I do not think there is anything wrong with it. In fact, I feel more music videos should be made.”His Bollywood debut is the current talk of the town because of its ensemble cast. Talking about it, he said, “I was completely starstruck when I met celebrities for the first time. Since Welcome to the Jungle had around 34 to 35 actors, I got to meet many famous people.”Sharing a particular incident, he said, “I still remember sitting in the lobby during the trailer launch while editing something related to the song. One after another, Akshay Sir, Arshad Warsi, and many other stars walked in. I was amazed because I had never imagined seeing so many celebrities together.”He was especially touched by how warmly he was welcomed despite being new to the industry. He said, “Everyone treated me with great respect. No one made me feel like I was a newcomer. Ahmed Sir, Ahmed Sir’s team, Firoz Nadiadwala, and Anand Raj Anand made me feel comfortable, just like family. I never felt any pressure while working. Akshay Sir also appreciated the music and shared his suggestions, which meant a lot to me.”Looking ahead, he has a clear vision and said, “Five years from now, I see myself as one of the best music composers and music producers in the film industry. My independent songs will also be released, and I hope to collaborate with many new artists. It is also my dream to work with some of the biggest stars in the industry. I am already working on those projects. The rest depends on God’s plans.”He wants his fans to watch the movie and especially listen to all the songs. He added, “The film is very entertaining, and I hope you give it lots of love and support.”But anything in particular that he liked in the film? He said, “I liked everything about Welcome to the Jungle. What impressed me the most was that every artist was given equal importance. Even if someone had only a few seconds of screen time, they were treated with respect. Handling such a big cast is not easy.”“When the trailer was released, many people wondered how so many actors would be given proper roles. But after watching the film, people will see how well Ahmed Sir gave importance to every artist, managed the entire crew, and handled such a big star cast. I truly appreciate his work. Hats off to him,” Ankit ended.
