Odia actor Amlan Das is all set to entertain audiences this Raja season with his upcoming action-suspense film Shikar. After creating buzz with its first look and character posters, the makers have now released the film’s thrilling teaser, which has generated considerable excitement on social media.
Produced jointly by Moon TV and Siddharth TV, the teaser carries a powerful message: “Not every hunter carries a weapon. Some hunt with pain, some with love, and some with betrayal. In the world of heroes and villains, whose side are you on?”

The 1-minute-28-second teaser opens with Amlan Das appearing bloodied and intense, firing a gun while screaming, setting a high-octane tone for the film. Actress Elina appears in a never-seen-before role as a lawyer investigating a case. One of Amlan’s striking dialogues — “Instead of delivering justice to me, you yourself may face injustice” — has further heightened audience curiosity.
Packed with police van sequences, action scenes and glimpses of the supporting cast, the teaser hints at a crime thriller loaded with action, suspense and drama. The film is slated for theatrical release on June 12 during the Raja festival.

Shikar is directed by Mrutyunjaya Sahu and presented by Moon TV in association with Siddharth Music. The story, screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Priyabrata Panda. Music has been composed by Baidyanath Dash, while Pratap Rout serves as Director of Photography and Rajesh Dash handles editing.

The songs feature vocals by Antara Chakraborty, Montu Chhuria, Krishna Beura and Asima Panda, with choreography by Amit Nayak. Publicity responsibilities are managed by media planner Pranaya Jethi.

Alongside Amlan Das and Elina, the film stars Supriya Nayak, Ankita, Tapas Sargharia, Pradyumna Lenka, Prashant Patra, Prabhati, Smita Mohanty, Abhinav Singh, Gyan Hota and Pushpa Panda. Audiences will also see Montu, Lipika and Bobby Mishra in special appearances.

The film is produced by Sachikanta Jena. With its blend of crime, suspense and intense action, Shikar is shaping up to be one of the much-awaited Odia releases of the Raja festive season.
