Veteran actor Deepakk Dutta, who was recently seen as Jeevan Ahuja in Daadi Ki Shaadi, has built an impressive career across television, films, and OTT platforms. Over the years, he has been part of popular shows such as Na Umr Ki Seema Ho, Gupta Brothers, Comedy Circus, Virasat, and Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi. His body of work also includes web series like Dr. Arora and Crash Course, along with films such as M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Haasil, Dil Kabaddi, and Bhagat Singh. In a recent interview, Deepakk shared his views on age-gap love stories, saying he believes such narratives will continue to resonate with audiences because they are rooted in reality. Referring to shows like Na Umr Ki Seema Ho and Tumm Se Tumm Tak, he said these kinds of relationships are neither new nor unusual.

Deepakk, who played an important role in Na Umr Ki Seema Ho, said he still looks back at the show with great fondness and would gladly return if the makers ever decided to bring it back for another season. According to him, the show’s biggest strength was its storytelling, which is why it connected so deeply with viewers. “The last show I did, Na Umr Ki Seema Ho, was beautifully written. It had a wonderful story. If a second season is ever made, I would definitely love to be a part of it,” he said.

Speaking about the recent rise of television dramas centred on age-gap relationships, including Tumm Se Tumm Tak, Deepakk said the subject is far from new. In his opinion, such stories continue to attract audiences because they are inspired by real-life relationships and emotions rather than being driven by trends. He believes every generation interprets the theme differently, but its core remains the same, making it relevant even today. “I believe the story has been around for a long time. The version we did and the one being made now may have come through different adaptations, but the subject itself is timeless because it reflects real life,” he shared.

The actor added that television has always drawn inspiration from society, and age-gap relationships are no exception. While each show may present the idea through different characters and situations, he feels audiences connect with these stories because they portray genuine human emotions, family dynamics, and the challenges that many people face in real life.According to the actor, age should never become the defining factor in any relationship, whether it is love or friendship. “In life, relationships should not have an age limit. I am not talking only about the relationship between a man and a woman. Even in friendship, a 20-year-old can have a 70-year-old friend. We often look at these relationships differently, but they exist all around us,” Deepakk said.

He added that cinema has repeatedly explored similar themes over the years, proving that audiences continue to connect with such stories. “There have been many films on this subject as well. It is a theme that has been explored before, it is being explored today, and I believe it will continue to be explored in the future because it reflects the truth of human relationships,” he concluded.
