“Discipline is everything”: Actor Vishaal Mohan opens up on fitness, diet and mental wellness Featured Funtainment by Akanksha - April 5, 20260 Actor Vishaal Mohan who played the lead role in Yadav Ji Ki Love Story and will be seen in Aashiqui Imtehaan Leti Hai, and Mehndi 2, believes that consistency and balance are the real secrets behind a fit body and a focused mind. In a candid conversation, the actor shared insights into his daily routine, eating habits, and approach to wellness while juggling a demanding work schedule.Speaking about his everyday fitness regimen, Vishaal says, “I try to sleep for 7 to 8 hours, drink around 2 to 3 litres of water, and spend about 2 hours in the gym. Three days a week, I also go for an early walk, not necessarily at 5 am, and while watering my garden, I do breathing exercises in nature.”When it comes to diet, the actor keeps it structured and mindful. “My day starts with black coffee, and I also take multivitamins. I try to keep my daily intake around 1500 calories,” he shares.However, maintaining a routine is not always easy during shoots. “When I am working, my diet and sleep schedule changes a lot. During that time, I depend more on vegetables, fruits, juices, and liquids to maintain my energy levels,” he explains.Talking about his favorite meals, Vishaal keeps it simple yet wholesome. “I love hummus and chicken. I can eat dal khichdi and egg bhurji anytime,” he says.The actor also admits to indulging occasionally. “I believe in cheat days. When I am very disciplined, I avoid them, but when I am not working, I cheat once or twice a week. I love ice cream, pani puri, sprout salad, and pav bhaji.”On skincare, Vishaal emphasizes hydration and protection. “I drink a lot of water, apply sunscreen regularly as my skin is very sensitive, and use serums at night like retinol and hyaluronic acid.”Fitness for him is more about strength than trends. “I love weight lifting and do less cardio. Legs are my favourite, and I enjoy training shoulders too,” he says.Mental well-being is equally important in his routine. “In today’s busy life, staying mentally fit is a must. I believe in talking to positive people and going on long drives to keep my mind fresh.”Highlighting the importance of discipline, he adds, “Discipline is everything. If I put in 100 percent effort, I definitely get at least 80 percent success.”For those starting their fitness journey, Vishaal has a simple message. “Have a good diet, stay disciplined, and remember that nothing happens in a rush. It is a process.
