US-based Indian designer and actress Anjali Phougat loves the monsoon. She shared that the season brings with it a sense of renewal. She said, “I love everything about the monsoon, the fresh petrichor, the cool breeze, the greenery everywhere, and the peaceful vibe it brings. It feels like nature hugs the earth and gives it a new life.”

Her go-to activities during the season are quite simple. “Listen to music. Read a good book. Sip on hot chai. Watch my favorite movies or web series. Click pictures; monsoon photography is the best! Write in my journal,” she said, adding that her favorite monsoon song is Rimjhim Gire Sawan.

Explaining why the song continues to be her favorite, she shared, “It beautifully captures the feeling of love, nostalgia, and the magic of rain. The melody is so soothing that it makes every rainy moment dreamy.”

On food, Anjali’s answer came without hesitation. She said, “I love hot pakoras with masala chai the most.” There’s nothing better than crispy pakoras and steaming chai while watching the rain. It’s pure happiness in every bite and sip.”

As for her favorite monsoon holiday destination, she said, “My favorite monsoon destination is Lonavala.”

“The waterfalls, green hills, misty weather, and peaceful environment make it magical. It’s the perfect place to relax and feel close to nature,” Anjali ended.
