Kartik Aaryan Donates ₹1 Crore to Assam Flood Relief Fund, Extends Support to Affected Families

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has contributed ₹1 crore to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to assist ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by the devastating floods across the state.

The contribution was announced by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in a post on X, where officials expressed appreciation for the actor’s generous gesture. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also thanked Kartik Aaryan, stating that the donation would provide valuable support to thousands of families struggling with the impact of the floods.

Assam has been facing severe flooding since July 19, with continuous rainfall causing rivers to overflow and inundate several parts of the state. According to the latest official data, the floods have affected 21 revenue circles and 437 villages across eight districts—Golaghat, Sivasagar, Biswanath, Charaideo, Kamrup (Metropolitan), Jorhat, Dhemaji, and Nagaon.

Government figures indicate that approximately 2,12,400 people remain affected by the disaster. Charaideo is currently the worst-hit district, with nearly 80,000 residents impacted, followed by Sivasagar with around 71,000 people and Jorhat, where nearly 40,000 people continue to face the effects of the flooding.

Authorities are continuing rescue, relief, and rehabilitation operations while monitoring the flood situation across the affected regions.
