The biggest mistake in the Vastu of the house, as shared by Ajit V Khawad Featured Funtainment by Akanksha - September 18, 20260 Vastu expert Ajit V Khawad explains how, according to Vastu principles, the layout of a house can influence different aspects of a person’s life, including career, finances, and relationships. He breaks it down using a simple analogy, just as every part of the human body has its place and function, every direction and space in a house needs to be in balance. Asked whether a home’s Vastu can genuinely affect someone’s personal life, career, or finances, he said, “It can 100 percent. Vastu means the practical sign of your house.” He compares the structure of a house to the human body to explain why balance matters. “Just like our body is made up of your nose, my nose is also there. My head is there, your head is there, your feet are there, and your hands are there. In the same way, the Vastu of the house should be set according to that,” he said. While smaller imbalances may come and go, he believes major defects can have a more significant impact. “It goes up and down; it goes up and down. But the major defects affect life, career, relationships, and everything else,” he said. When asked about the single biggest mistake he sees in the Vastu of a house, Ajit points to the north and South directions. “The problems in the North and South. Opportunities come from the North, and stability comes from the South. If this is disturbed, then there will be problems in all those things,” he said. He further explains that certain room placements in these areas can create challenges. “As it is normally seen that there is a bedroom in the Northeast, there is a kitchen, and there is a toilet. So you will have opportunities, but it will be difficult to come. In the Southwest, there will be a problem in stability,” he said. Ajit also highlights the importance of the overall shape of a house. According to him, extensions or cuts in the layout can create an imbalance, much like an irregularity in the human body. “Whatever house we see these days, either it is a rectangle or a square. Wherever there is an increase in an area or a decrease in an area, it means that the body part is expanded in your body. For example, if two feet are replaced by two and a half feet or three feet, how will you feel?” he said. He believes the same principle applies when an area is missing or cut from the house. “If it is cut, then one foot is less, and one hand is less. All these problems will trouble you in the future,” Ajit ended.
