Arhaan Khan on why contestants should stop copying Bigg Boss 13 contestants

Actor Arhaan Khan who was part of Bigg Boss 13,  feels that contestants entering Bigg Boss should focus on their own personalities instead of trying to recreate moments or characters from earlier seasons. Speaking about the continuing popularity of Bigg Boss 13, he says the season remains memorable because the contestants had their own stories and did not need to follow a set pattern.

According to Arhaan, the influence of the season can still be seen in the way some contestants approach the show. He feels that trying too hard to become someone else can stop people from showing what makes them different. “Season 13 is still in people’s minds. I think whoever goes into Bigg Boss now has watched that season and tries to pick a character, thinking they should do things the same way. Because of this, they are not able to play properly,” he says.

Arhaan points to contestants Qazi and Mahi from Bigg Boss 20 as examples of people who have stood out by playing their own game. He says Mahi has not tried to become Shehnaaz Gill or copy another contestant. “Mahi is not trying to become Shehnaaz or anyone else. She is playing her own game. Qazi is also not doing anything that someone did in season 13. That is why both of them are getting noticed,” he says.

He also believes that Shehnaaz Gill’s personality is unique and cannot be recreated by someone else. While she became one of the most popular contestants of Bigg Boss 13, Arhaan feels that anyone trying to copy her will struggle to make a genuine impression. “Shehnaaz is one of a kind. There cannot be another person like her. She is a very lovely and entertaining person. If you try to become her, you will stop being noticed for who you are,” he says.

For Arhaan, the success of Bigg Boss 13 came from the different stories and personalities inside the house. He feels the contestants were living their own experiences instead of trying to perform versions of other people. “I think the reason that season was so successful was that there were many stories in the show. Everyone had a different story, and people connected with them,” he says.

Arhaan believes contestants have a better chance of standing out when they bring their own personality to the show. Instead of following a formula that worked for someone else, he feels they should trust their own game and allow viewers to connect with them naturally.
